If you enjoy a coffee and a chat and are a good listener, you might enjoy becoming a befriender. This involves visiting a lonely older person on a regular basis for a chat, or helping them with a bit of shopping, taking them out for a walk, helping them with admin... the list is endless.

If you are interested in becoming a befriender, please phone or e-mail the Volunteers’ Co-ordinator. She will arrange an appointment with you to discuss your options. There is a short application form to be filled in and a Criminal Records Bureau form to complete.

One of our Volunteer Drivers

We are always in need of additional drivers to take local older people to medical appointments. If you are able to help on an occasional or regular basis, we would love to hear from you. For a detailed role description, please click here.

There is also a need for extra drivers on one Sunday afternoon a month, to take people to afternoon tea at The United Reformed Church, Ewell. The afternoon begins at 2.30 and ends at approximately 4.45pm.

Please note that mileage is paid at 45p per mile.
